In quantities from prototype to production runs, RB Tool & Manufacturing Company specializes in precision wire and sinker electrical discharge machining (EDM). We can accommodate the machining of components measuring up to 40" x 30" x 15.5", to precision tolerances to ±.0002". EDM is ideal for achieving complex geometries and produces parts with superior edge qualities and surface finishes. Our advanced 4-axis equipment is capable of forming intricate curves, delicate contours, as well as small and odd angular shapes, even in the hardest, most difficult to machine metals. We are also capable of fast drilling very fine holes in aerospace materials with large-depth-to-diameter ratios to a smooth and burr-free finish with a fully integrated 5th axis rotary table.

Our facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified, and our quality team utilizes systems such as coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, surface finish analyzers, as well as rigorous in-process and post-production inspections. Unlike most EDM shops, we can fabricate electrodes in-house, which enables us to match their composition and dimensions to each application while maintaining full control over their quality.
